This is an introductory class in short row technique. You will be making a fast and easy hat while learning the short row technique and how to read a pattern, increase and decrease. We will also go over how to use the short row technique to shape a hat or add a color pattern to your project.

In this class you will learn pattern reading, a simple cast on, counting and keeping track of your rows, and the best techniques to increase and decrease. You will also learn how to make stripes by carrying yarns from row to row without cutting the yarn and weaving in the ends. Then, we will bind off and learn the mattress stitch to finish your hat.
