Delightful Distractions

Delightful Distractions curated by Cloth Carousel

Feels like we're on a scavenger hunt! Scott had some evenings free this past week so, other than the color wall and the batiks, I think he moved just about every bolt. We're getting extra steps in looking for stuff, but hopefully you'll see something new-to-you that's been here for a bit. The panel walls have also been restocked...he has a few more new ones to hang but it's nice seeing them full again.

With the recent interest in making red hats, you all wiped us out. Our yarn mix was looking a little bland without my favorite color, but we've now restocked a lot of RED yarn. Happy stitching!

On the longarm: For the upcoming Quilt Rush shop hop I'm making our sample table runner for the Villa Rosa Designs pattern we'll be giving away FREE! (the pattern will be free, not the table runner) Need to get it quilted and bound this week for pattern printing. It'll be hanging in the shop by the weekend (and it'll look even cuter than this). Yes, we will have kits available as soon as we receive our patterns the beginning of April.

Hope to see you soon!

How do you get in a groove? For me it's music...always has been. My Sunday night soundtrack while writing these emails is my YouTube mix of Journey (70's & some 80's), Van Hagar, Styx, Night Ranger, Boston, Billy Squier, and Damn Yankees. Yep, I'm a rocker from the 70's and love it loud. This might be why I get more done after everyone has left the shop and I can turn it up. All through high school I did my homework with headphones on (the BIG ones, not those cute little earbuds that don't do any music justice) and the stereo cranked...LPs and 8-tracks, pretty much skipped cassettes, and then on to CDs. Now it's Pandora and YouTube...but it's still the same rockin' music.

What get's you groovin'?

Flora & Form

Flora & Form blends soft botanical elements with abstract shapes and patterns. Drawing inspiration from one of her favorite color palettes, designer Kate Rebecca Leach incorporates rich burnt orange, sage green, charcoal, deep blue, and a range of neutrals to create a striking yet sophisticated mix of strong hues. The collection perfectly balances nature's softness with bold artistic expression.
