Perspective. We don't see ourselves as others do. 

We started carrying BERNINA sewing machines and sergers this past November and we've eased into selling them (AKA not selling super fast). I've got a long list of all the things we need to do to get the word out. We're still working on getting the area set up the way we want it, need to get them listed on our website, and market them on a regular basis, but it all takes time. Last week my BERNINA sales rep dropped by unannounced. I'm a little concerned with where we are in our journey...and he tells me we're doing a good job. Wait, what? I don't know how many machines I thought we should have sold in three months, but apparently I set the bar too high and we're doing okay.

How many times have you been hard on yourself and you find out others think you're doing a good job. We often try to convince them they're wrong and we could do so much better. As crafters, we point out every mistake. Sometimes we'll even give up because it's not perfect. Well, stop it. We tend to set unrealistic goals and then berate ourselves when we don't achieve those goals in the manner or timeframe we imagined we would. 

You're doing enough! Others appreciate and are often impressed with your efforts. Relax and enjoy the journey.
